    HONDURAS CHRISTMAS BOXES

The Oakhurst Adventist Church has adopted the Pan American Orphange. Each Christmas we send a Christmas box to each child in the Orphange.

It's time for Honduras Christmas boxes again!!

Those of you who participated in sending a Christmas box to a child last year can keep that same child for this year. Come to the Mend a Child Booth during the Ministry Expo on Sabbath, September 19, and pick up the box for your child. The Wieg's will have it ready and waiting for you! If you did not participate last year and want to send a box this year, come to the Mend a Child Booth and we will have several children for you to choose from. If you did participate last year and are unable to do so this year, just give us a call (209) 966-4918 or come to the Mend a Child Booth and let us know. We will make sure that child still receives a Christmas box.

Thank you, church Family, for making sure the needy children of Honduras have a special Christmas!!

Announced by Irving Curtis on May 06 2009

    by Jeremy S. Becker

May 15 and 16 at the Oakhurst Seventh-day Adventist Church. Often we think of money when we hear the term stewardship, but it doesn't stop there.  Jeremy Becker, a financial advisor and founder of Inheritance Builders, believes there are four areas of resources God has called His people to steward:  financial, intellectual, spiritual and human.   On May 15th and 16th he will be our guest speaker, presenting a stewardship seminar entitled "Christianity:  A Life of Wealth Management."  Don't miss this opportunity to gather valuable information on stewarding all the resources God has entrusted to your care.

On Friday evening there will be an interactive session on the management of financial resources.  This will be followed on Saturday with three sessions covering intellectual (9:30am), spiritual (11am) and human resource (2pm) stewardship.

Biography: Jeremy S. Becker, Financial Advisor

Jeremy is the husband of Oakhurst native, Alicia (Sargentini).  They are the proud parents of four children, with another on the way, whom they homeschool in a multigenerational setting.  They walk intimately with a network of the church that meets in homes.

Jeremy committed to Jesus in baptism in 1986, graduated from college in 1993, was married in 1995, entered parenthood in 1998, received a teaching credential in 2002 and passed the tests for his securities and insurance licenses in 2004.  He was led back into the financial industry when he founded a financial advisory practice named Inheritance Builders in 2004.  Inheritance Builders is based on Proverbs 13:22 which contains a multi-generational vision saying, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
